In response to Pez's 5 things http://pez.multiply.com/journal/item/152?mark_read=pez:journal:152&replies_read=1 (I hope I do this right, never created a blog entry)
- I have an identical twin brother and we are mirror-image twins (I’m left-handed and he is right-handed).
- I grew up on a small farm in the backwoods of Appalachia so I know all there is to know about growing burley tobacco, milking cows, bringing in hay, mucking stalls, etc. One of my favorite games growing up was setting traps for chickens (no chickens were harmed in these games). Also, I play the 5-string banjo. I learned to play when I was 10 years old and I still occasionally play a tune or two.
- I started college as an art major and changed to computer science in my junior year (after being talked into taking an "Intro to Computer Science” course by my then girlfriend). She hated it and I loved it. I went on to get a MS in comp-sci.
- It is almost impossible for me to tell my right from left, so never ask me to give you directions.
- I was in a serious car accident the summer before my freshman year of college. The car hydroplaned, turned completely around and slammed into a concrete wall. I regained consciousness to hear the ‘jaws of life’ ripping through the driver’s door. The rear wheels of the car were pushed up to behind the drivers’ seat. There was just enough room for me in the car, everything else was smashed. I had a few scratches and walked away.
